Culinary Showdown Showcases the Sweetest Artistry in Town

Macau – Friday, November 25, 2011: City of Dreams is pleased to announce that the pastry team swept three awards at The Macau 5th Chapter Pastry Competition which was held at Hard Rock Hotel, City of Dreams, on November 10, 2011. Chef Yang Guang outcooked her regional rivals to win the Gold Medal of Professional Pastry Showpiece with Praline, while Chef Chong Hiu Tung and Chef Do Rosario Pang Paulo won the Silver Medal of Live Professional Individual Live Chocolate Competition and the Bronze Medal of Professional Pastry Showpiece, respectively.

Organized by the Macau Culinary Association for chefs from Hong Kong and Macau and fully supported by City of Dreams, this pastry competition aims to promote culinary excellence in the region, develop young professional pastry chefs in town, and facilitate exchange within the regional culinary community. The competition also provides a rare and commendable opportunity for professionals to showcase their culinary talent not only to the industry but also to the general public.

The outstanding pastry team is led by Mr. Kristoffer Luczak, Vice President of Food and Beverage, Melco Crown Entertainment who is also the General Secretary of The Macau Culinary Chef Association. “This accomplishment is a thrilling honor for us. The awards are a recognition of the pastry excellence and, by extension, an acknowledgement of the efforts of our team in always pursuing the perfect match of taste and presentation,” Mr. Luczak said.

If guests want to enjoy the sweet life with the desserts made by our award-winning chefs, Hard Rock Hotel’s lobby lounge, R Bar, is offering the Sweetest Sensation Dessert Buffet complete with delicate pastries, mouth-watering puddings, tasty cakes and the panache you would expect of Hard Rock.

新濠天地囊括澳門第五屆糕點比賽三項大獎

一展極致甜品工藝

澳門─20111125日,星期五:新濠天地欣然宣佈糕餅部團隊於20111110日在新濠天地之Hard Rock酒店舉行的澳門第五屆糕點比賽中囊括三個獎項。由廚師楊光在專業朱古力糖果與裝飾擺設組中與區內多位對手較量,突圍而出贏得金牌。同時,廚師莊曉東及彭嘉明分別贏得現場專業朱古力裝飾擺設比賽銀牌及專業糕點裝飾擺設銅牌。

是次糕點比賽由澳門廚藝協會為香港及澳門的廚師主辨並得新濠天地鼎力支持,旨在提高區內烹飪水平及培育青年烘焙廚師,讓區內廚藝界人士可以分享及交流經驗心得。比賽亦提供了一個難得的機會,讓一眾烘焙廚師向業界人士展示他們的專業才能之餘,更可在顧客前大展身手。

傑出的糕餅部團隊由新濠博亞娛樂餐飲部副總裁兼澳門廚藝協會秘書長Kristoffer Luczak先生帶領參賽,他表示:「我們很榮幸地獲得此項殊榮,印證了我們致力提供頂級的糕餅,亦貫徹了我們要追求色香味完美配搭的承諾。」
